I’d say the Hanna Sisters are sick to death of being compared to the Corrs.
But if you happen to be startlingly good-looking sisters who write breezy, upbeat pop songs, sing in harmony and one of you plays the fiddle..... well, it’s gotta come with the territory.
Ably produced by keyboard maestro Rod McVey, the debut album by these Armagh-born siblings has more than sufficient radio-friendly numbers to hold its own.
Particularly strong are the anthemic 'Hotline to your soul' and the closing track 'True Love', with Breige on the whistle and Nuala Hanna’s violin weaving sinuous lines around the soaring chorus.
The Hanna Sisters are touring Ireland from February 28. See
